Week I

A person  Who Demonstrates Competent Communication

The person who demonstrates a competent communication is my husband. He is very influential speaker; he uses a language that is clear, concise, and organized. In his workplace, they always choose him to represent them in meetings and conferences because he can display all his organization work in a short time and in effective way. My husband can communicate with everyone despite he did not complete his education but he had worked very hard to educate himself through reading and writing which made him to be an effective speaker, writer, and poet. I remember the first time I met him he was able to present everything about his life, work, dreams, and his future in few moments and in inclusive way, which is thing that made me admired him .He is very kind, cared, flexible, responsive, good listener and everyone love him. Therefore, having these attributes had served him to be a competent communicator that can influence everyone he interacts with. In fact, he is my role model and I  really learned so much from his skills of communication that I think would help me when working with children and their families.

I loved your post regarding your husband. He seems like a man that is very versed in so many areas. He knows how to reach people in a positive way and that creates wonderful communication.

  2. Hello Bushra,

I agree with Cheri, your husband seems to have a special way with communicating with people and getting results. It is good to have someone that you can talk to and feel comfortable doing so.

  3. Hi Bushra,

Your husband sounds like an excellent teacher. It is wonderful to hear that you have an influence like him in your life! I think the best way to learn effective communications skills (or to learn ineffective communication skills, for that matter) is to be near to someone who emulates those skills. Thank you for sharing the ways in which your husband inspires you!
